About the Item Setup Senior Associate

When products come to Yerdle’s warehouse we first must determine if they can be resold.  If they can we must then identify the item from a product catalogue and provide consumers with detailed information about each item.  Yerdle’s technology and logistics are designed to simplify this challenging process and it does so for the vast majority of items, especially when they come directly from our brand partners.  You will be the first person in a new role specializing in the exceptions. 

We’re seeking a product detective to identify unique, vintage items, utilizing data from brand partners, partner product experts, and other exclusive resources.  You’ll get to work with merchandise from leading brands across a variety of industries and interact with talented colleagues in Warehouse Operations, Product Development, and Client Management.  You will help us to build and refine our product catalog data to decrease the instances when our logistics and technology require your product expertise. You will also ensure our customers are getting the right and fair reimbursement for trade-in items, a crucial part of making this program succeed. 


Key Objectives

  • Accurately process inventory received through our Mail-In Trade-In program, including issuance of gift cards and disposition of product
  • Develop and correct product data to ensure accuracy, unlock unproductive inventory, and drive a positive shopping experience
  • Compile and deliver recommendations for process improvement and automation to streamline Mail-In Trade-In and Inventory Check-In workflows
  • Exceed the quality expectations we set with our brand partners and ourselves.



  • Efficiently identify and categorize unrecognized items and other inventory, using partner documentation, research and other tools
  • Exercise judgment to determine appropriate customer reimbursement in ambiguous situations
  • Identify opportunities to improve process and systems to more accurately and reliably identify customer trade-in product
  • Partner with Product Management and Operations teams to outline and implement process changes
  • Document and communicate issues to Partnerships and Customer Experience teams



  • High level of attention to detail
  • Computer skills, especially excel or google sheets
  • Strong professional communication skills (oral, written, and interpersonal)
  • Curious and interested in researching items
  • Ability to push, pull, squat, bend, and reach with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Consistent and Punctual Attendance


Best if you have/are:

  • Experience with consumer brands and/or retail
  • Prior experience in QA/QC in a warehouse setting or equivalent experience 
  • Fast Learner and Adaptable to constant change
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to drive results
  • Naturally seeks to create order and structure where none exists
